Local Chambers of Commerce for TQ2 5NX with contact details and location maps. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out.
Torbay Council

Town Hall, Castle Circus, Torquay TQ1 3DR, UK – 01803 201201

STREET PASTORS of TORBAY 2016. Excellent all peoples volunteer non judgemental caring service of assistance to help the most needy with spiritual connections to the iconic story of the good Samaritans of the world. A FIVE STAR SERVICE***** DEVON HOMES ACTION TEAM 2016. Volunteer active people assisting the homeless and street bound, with clothing, hot food, safe refuge. Again, good Samaritans. A FIVE STAR SERVICE***** TORBAY has been recently rated as one of the 'worst places' in the United Kingdom, to raise a family. This survey considers all of the 'facts' available. TORBAY at the top of 'region' list for POVERTY. "TOTNES" has been rated as Devons top ten, number one, place to visit, this summer. People of all ages regularly commit suicide in the area, some times as many as three in one week, some times as many as six in one area...... Their are organisations to assist such people, to help them in their hour of great sadness, despair, rejection, loss, racism, bullying. Sudden deaths have occurred in the area for no apparent reason or for reasons that have not been reported by the local authorities or press. Other people go missing, with local responsible, caring search teams spending hundreds of hours, thousands of pounds looking for them. Devon Police attend these incidents to 'show the public how they use their state of the art equipment.' Costing hundreds of millions of pounds in public taxes. Helicopters, vehicles, drones, diving equipment, guns, forensic investigation, etc. The authorities are slow to act in taking positive, lawful action against those who often visit the area and camp illegally, until they are evicted off of the public grounds. Some have left behind human waste, kitchen furniture, garden waste by the skip loads, lorry loads, (fly tipping), which is cleared up by the authorities using public tax monies. Evidence is being gathered by hundreds of responsible members of the public, who are fed up with such unnecessary, loutish behaviour. Torbay Council have just printed an expensive document, with postage, to ask all taxable persons how they feel about paying higher taxes to support their folly in wasting taxes. The local press reports regular acts of violence in the Torbay area, violent physical assaults, attempted murders, violent murders, racist assaults, with other people being seriously. Some local inhabitants have displayed their 'anti social behavior', and their contempt for authority, usually with verbal abuse, death threats, (some of which are very, very serious), which have been reported to the police. Racist Graffiti has been painted on the side of a Torquay Public Building and other Graffiti Art can be seen at prominent Public Places, with 'litter' floating in the water at Torbay Marina. Other people deliberately foul public places with dog dirt bags and drop litter, beer cans, fishing tackle at unsupervised public places. Wildlife has been seen, reported to be 'harassed' by other members of the public, resulting in distress for the animal that they pick on, with caring members of the community stating their genuine, responsible concerns. The local press has reported that large sums of community funds have been spent on trying to start projects such as building a cruise ship terminal which would have no profitable return for many future years. Local 'historic buildings', tourist attractions are left empty, because funding cannot be found to repair them, to the standard required for use as 'major venue tourist attractions', to further generate income for the upkeep of these 'historic buildings'. Local inhabitants who are trying to save such 'sites' from 'developers' have stated that the local council should have 'constructively marketed' these sites as profitable attractions for tourists and local inhabitants. Vulnerable members of the local community are still seen 'living on the streets' in THE ENGLISH RIVIERA of TORBAY. THE ENGLISH RIVIERA of TORBAY was recently animated as being "THE JEWEL of the SOUTH WEST" by the locally famous "SAND MAN".

Dental Surgeries

Park Hill Dental Surgery

3 Parkhill Rd, Torquay TQ1 2AL, UK – 01803 380090

The dentist I go to here is absolutely lovely, I don't know his name but would say he is in his late 30's/early 40's with light brown hair. I have had him over the last few years and he is so professional and down to earth I would 100% recommend him. The thing I noticed about a lot of dentists is a fair amount would lack the ability to properly talk to patients and would come across very cold which for me would be quite unnerving as I am a quite 'on edge' patient, and also not really inform you on what they were doing. I always want to know what is going on and I do ask questions, this dentist gives me exactly that and always tells me what he is doing and is just so nice in answering my many questions which puts me completely at ease. If anyone is interested in what work he has completed for me, he has given me a few fillings over the years which are the 'composite' (white) ones which look very natural, I always request more than one dose of the local anaesthetic as I am quite resistant to its effects which he is always willing to do, so it is not painful. I would also like to quickly mention his assistant/dental nurse (not sure on her title) she is a young blonde lady, and she is also lovely and really friendly, I went in today for an examination and we were having a discussion over my treatment options (as I may potentially need an RCT) and they both just completely put me at ease. That's all I have to say and just in case they see this review if you can remember me I am Jade the student with dark brown hair.

Orchards Dental Practice

321 Babbacombe Rd, Torquay TQ1 3TB, UK – 01803 389222

Excellent dentist, I have been quite terrified of the dentist for many years, I went to Orchard as i read they cater for nervous people, They were fantastic, they put me at ease and the treatment was first class, the new "Wand painless injection" is the best thing ever, no more fear of the dentist. I would recommend this practice to everyone.

Mount Stuart Hospital

hello after my trip from plymouth for my op i want to thank every body for all there kindness and help thanks very much

My 24 hour stay at the hospital could not have been better. The staff are extremely kind and efficient, my operation went smoothly and I was given options for the anaesthesia that were carefully explained that I really appreciated. Meals were delicious and the rooms as comfortable as a good hotel, with TV and wi fi.

Torbay Hospital

Newton Rd, Torquay TQ2 7AA, UK – 01803 614567

Why cant I give 6 out of 5 stars? The service I am currently experiencing from my hospital bed in Chest Pain ward (cardiology) is second to none. The cleaners, the caterers, the nurses, doctors and consultants are all so perfect. I am treated with love and care by all levels of staff and feel so relaxed knowing that such excellence of expertise surrounds me. I could not be in a safer place. It annoys me that some people run the NHS down. I think they all deserve a pay rise. Tell this to the administrators and accountants and they will have a heart attack. Then they too will be admitted, and then they too would agree that a pay rise is in order when they experience first hand what I am experiencing now!!

The Torbay Hospital teams were brilliant, from A&E reception, to Triage, to Minor Injuries, to Eye Specialists. Ten people in all. Fantastic service and fast tracked too. And great technology. Thank you.

Animals In Distress

102 Reddenhill Rd, Torquay TQ1 3NT, UK – 01803 812121

Very helpful, good selection of items. Excellent local charity well worth a visit

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Torquay

Pizza Express

16 Strand, Torquay TQ1 2AA, UK – 01803 211525

Definitely the best pizzas in town. Pizza Express never fail to provide excellent quality food, in a warm atmosphere and well located just off the harbour frontage and in the bust hub of TQ night life. We eat there regularly whenever we are in town.

Could have been a 5 star if it wasn't for the manager's decision not to "start a table outside from 10:00pm" in a very warm and dry summer night. The waitress who served us was very professional and well mannered. Pizza was as delicious as in every Pizza express I've visited.

The Orange Tree Restaurant

14-16 Parkhill Rd, Torquay TQ1 2AL, UK – 01803 213936

Wow! One of the best restaurants I've ever been to - if not the best. Very delicious food, full of flavours. Excellent service! Staff made us feel special and well looked after. Quite expensive but worth the money. Great evening with my boyfriend!

Food was amazing. The service cannot be faulted!

Las Iguanas Torquay

4, Abbey Sands, Torbay Rd, Torquay TQ2 5FB, UK – 01803 297053

Great atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. Hot chocolate was perfect. Very good location by the seafront. Excellent all round!!

The food is good, they have an excellent cocktail menu and I really like the design of the restaurant. The walls are covered in crates which are done in such a manner that it gives a certain tropical atmosphere to the place. The only downside I've found with this place is that there aren't usually enough wraps to fill the fajitas and the amount of meat tends to be quite small with a lot of onions to make up for it.

A school that has gone from being one of the best in the country to being one of the worst but pleased to say it's on its way back to the top. Great morals which I think they need to focus on teaching the students

Because it has some of my friends from school and Hadon and Charlie my next door neighbour 😄😀😁😊☺:-) ;-)
